Prince Arthur
and
Baylee Shepherd
workout for
Green Cup June Wk 2
It was time to get work done. The time have been limited due to fact the owner was rushed into hospital. But now the stable was back and the horses were fit and ready to get down to business. Baylee went straight to the dapple grey stallion, which wasn't running badly this season, as he was maturing into a fine colt. The track was quiet as it was early morning, and touch foggy. Arthur was exticted and wanted to get to work.
Cantering a few minutes so the stallion was warmed up and ready to get to business. The race was going to be very competitive, with lot more better horses than him. Baylee know this, but he wasn't going to change the stallion posture and training plan. The gates weren't needed as Arthur was a dream to load and break from the gates. So starting from the bend, Baylee asked Arthur to work. The stallion responded very well and he stretched his limbs to show he was giving it all. Arthur was's ears were pinned back as he was listening.
Baylee was enjoying the ride and knew he was going to give his all. He pushed him a little more and Arthur responded go faster, and weaving in and out like he was in actual race. The lead horse in view, and Baylee allowed the stallion to break for it now. Arthur spread his limbs more and quickly passed the lead horse, and kept the lead. He passed the line. Baylee slowed him down, and the stallion slowly went from gallop to a trot, then to a walk. The stallion was ready for this race, and Baylee could feel it.
